Internal Audit Senior- Upstate NY

JC Jones Advisory Services is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Senior for our growing Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance group.  JC Jones is an award-winning management consulting firm, living by the principle that our people are the foundation of our success.  To deliver high value to our clients every day, we focus on clarity, creativity, and results.

The successful candidate will have great interpersonal skills, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and work hard.  This role provides the opportunity to serve a variety of internal audit and SOX clients spanning a diverse industry-base.  We serve businesses ranging from small family-owned companies and not-for-profits to multi-billion, multinational public companies.

Responsibilities will include performing a wide variety of internal audits, including operational audits. A strong knowledge of business processes and best practices is required.  Excellent client communication skills are key.  Experience applying data analytics is preferred.

The role will also involve participation in marketing and business development activities.  Some travel (nationally and internationally) may be required.

Job Description:

  • Location: Upstate New York (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse)
  • Required background: Auditing (internal or external), Accounting, or Consulting
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a strong demonstrable knowledge of internal auditing principles, SOX best practices and US GAAP
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.  CIA, MBA, CFE or CPA preferred
